Nominations Committee

The Nominations Committee is one of the Operational Committees within the DEIS. In accordance with IEEE By-Laws, outlined in Sections 4.6 and 5.0 of the DEIS Constitution and By-Laws, the duties of the Nominations Committee are many. Among others, the Nominations Committee submits nominations for President, Administrative Vice-President, Technical Vice-President and members of the Administrative Committee (AdCom).

The main activity of the committee is to prepare nominations and to proceed with election of members of the DEIS AdCom, made up of 18 members. Traditionally, AdCom has maintained a balance in representation between the industrial and academic communities. Each year 6 members are elected to serve a three-year term. No AdCom member can serve more than two consecutive terms.

A Call for Nominations is published every year in the IEEE Electrical Insulation Magazine.
